Bark Inspired Chameleon

 For an assignment creating a creature inspired by tree bark. I drew this in Photoshop starting with the basic shape in black adding tone, then colour from the picture of bark I used. I then added the bark texture from the photo on the left on an overlay layer after removing colour and adjusting shadows and highlights.

On reflection I probably should of had the chameleon standing on some branches because the way I drew the feet and the addition of the shadow make it look like its floating :s
