Space Marine
Bench and Wall 3DS Max
Both textured with a bump map. I made the bench using rectangular polygons, some like the arms were turbosmoothed, to get a worn effect and I then applied mapping. After this I added a character with biped who would animate to walk over to the bench and sit down. I adjusted the height and direction of the character in biped mode to make sure they walked towards the bench and that they sat on the bench instead of hovering above it.

Sketches
Sketch of a landscape of trees and a volleyball net. The perspecitive is a little off as I didn't plan the sketch out using perspective first.
Here I drew a close up sketch of a small grassy plant. I added colour using green, yellow and pink coloured pencils.
In this pencil sketch I tried practising perspective by drawing the balconies of a building and tried to get a some shading in. In my opinon this could of turned out better.
Practice sketch of my hand. I got the basic shapes down first using ovals for each part of the hand then I sketched in the shape of the hand.
Sketch of a palm tree. Tried to get the texture of the bark in by using shading.

Quick Sketch
Here I drew a quick sketch of the image below, trying to match the colours to those in the original image. I planned to add more greenery from the trees in the background I didn't have time however so the sky overpowers the entire picture a bit

Fishing Lizard
For the Easter holiday assignment following a Youtube tutorial by Bobby Chiu.
First the sketch was set to 'Multiply' and a dark greyish-blue colour was set to fill on the layer below to use as a base. I then added the tones of the creature on a new layer.
Here on another new layer I added shadows and highlights as well as some tone on the floor.
For this stage I added a 'color' layer and added the basic colours of the image. After this I made a new layer for the skin detail showing lighter and darker parts of the skin and giving it more texture.
Here I added another layer, this one adding detail to the creatures scales and adding detail to the fish at the end of the rod, making the rod darker and adding in fingers. I also added some more highlights on its face
For this part I added some backlight onto the creature in the opposite direction to the shadows and highlights.
Because my version of Photoshop doesn't have the Curve adjustment layer like in the tutorial, I used a Levels layer instead. To try and get a similar lighting effect I slid the grey and white triangles a little to make the picture lighter without making it look too drained. I then filled the adjustment layer with black and lightened some more areas by painting white onto the layer. I also added more details such as nostrils, specks on the eyes, darker patches on its head and some more highlights and shading and added extra detail to the fish. To finish off the picture I then added more colour to the skin by painting over parts of it with bright yellow on very low opacity.
The finished image. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, the skin in particular :)

Bark Inspired Chameleon
For an assignment creating a creature inspired by tree bark. I drew this in Photoshop starting with the basic shape in black adding tone, then colour from the picture of bark I used. I then added the bark texture from the photo on the left on an overlay layer after removing colour and adjusting shadows and highlights.
On reflection I probably should of had the chameleon standing on some branches because the way I drew the feet and the addition of the shadow make it look like its floating :s
